Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of thestockmemo.com, a site published by Frontier Media Inc. ("we", "us"). Using the site means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.

1. Information only

The Stock Memo publishes impersonal commentary of general and regular circulation about companies and markets. It is not investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice. It is not an offer to sell, or a solicitation of an offer to buy, any security. Nothing on the site creates an advisory, brokerage, or fiduciary relationship.

We are not registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as an investment adviser or broker-dealer, and we are not a member of FINRA. We do not manage accounts and we do not tailor recommendations to your finances, your tax situation, or your risk tolerance.

Read the Disclaimer with anything you read here. Whether you buy, hold, or sell a security is your decision alone.

2. Acceptable use

You may read the site and share links to it. You may not:

  • copy or republish our text, images, or audio, other than a short quotation with a link back to the page
  • scrape the site in a way that degrades it for other readers
  • try to break, probe, or overload the site
  • present our content as your own, or as advice we prepared for a particular person

3. Intellectual property

The text, layout, graphics, and audio on this site belong to Frontier Media Inc. or its licensors. "The Stock Memo" is a brand used by Frontier Media Inc. Names and marks of companies we write about belong to their owners.

4. Copyright notices

Readers do not upload content to this site. If you believe material on the site infringes a copyright you own, email contact@frontiermediainc.ca with the address of the page, a description of the work, and a way to reach you. We will review notices sent in good faith.

5. Links and compensation

The site may link to brokers, issuers, and other third parties. Those sites set their own terms. If we are paid for a link or a mention, we say so next to the content or in the disclaimer on that page. Payment does not turn the content into advice prepared for you.

6. No warranty

The site is provided as it is. Market data may be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. We do not warrant that the site will be available without interruption, or that any figure, rating, or price target is accurate or current.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Frontier Media Inc. and its directors, officers, and employees are not liable for losses that result from your use of the site or from a decision you make after reading it, including a loss of capital. Some places do not allow certain limits. Where that is so, our liability is limited to the maximum the law still allows. These terms do not limit liability that a statute forbids us to limit, including rights you cannot waive under U.S. federal or state consumer-protection law.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan and the federal laws of Canada that apply in that province, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts in Regina, Saskatchewan, are the venue for a dispute about these terms, except where a U.S. law that you cannot waive lets you bring the claim somewhere else.

9. Changes

We may replace these terms by posting a new version on this page. If you keep using the site after that posting, you accept the new version.
